So, how did we defy the density limitations of traditional maple to create this ultra-light masterpiece?
1. Shaft Innovation: Carbon Fiber Hollow Core Tech
Traditional maple shafts are dense and difficult to hollow out without compromising structural integrity. The AT01 utilizes a premium carbon fiber composite shaft.
Using high-precision CNC machining, our cue masters perform complex longitudinal hollowing inside the carbon tube. This removes unnecessary mass while creating a robust “tube-within-a-tube” structure. We successfully capped the shaft weight at 4.3oz, preserving the low-deflection and high-rebound properties essential for a crisp, powerful hit.
2. Butt Reconstruction: Maple Shell & Lightweight Core
The butt provides the foundation for balance. The AT01 features a classic Maple sleeve with Lignum Vitae inserts for aesthetics and grip texture.
To achieve ultra-low weight, we implemented a “Cored Out” technique: the interior near the grip end is precision-milled and filled with a lightweight foam core or cork core. This “hard-shell, soft-core” design locks the butt weight at 7oz, ensuring perfect balance without the cumbersome dead weight found in conventional cues.
