In June this year, our Obright Cue manufacturer expanded its production capabilities by adding six new CNC engraving machines imported from overseas. These state-of-the-art machines offer superior precision and have now been fully integrated into our manufacturing process.
Primarily, they are used to engrave hard materials such as mother-of-pearl and abalone shell for decorative inlays. Additionally, they carve intricate grooves into the wood of the pool cues, which are then finished with hand-crafted inlay work.
Looking ahead, we are making a significant leap from the mid-range market to high-end cue production. Our goal is to increase the output of premium pool cues and develop a wider variety of high-quality handcrafted models. As General Manager Huang notes, ‘The engraving process is extremely demanding on the tools; we often need to replace the cutter after completing just one program.’ Consequently, producing high-end cues requires a substantially greater investment in both materials and manufacturing resources.
A truly exceptional handemade cue is always the product of a maker’s dedication and craftsmanship. Obright Cue Factory invite you to stay tuned for more exquisite cues coming soon.
